The Blue Whale can grow up to 110 feet in length, and weigh 209 tonnes!
THE LARGEST LAND ANIMAL
The African Bush Elephant can grow to stand upto13 feet high and weigh 8 tonnes.
THE LARGEST CANINE (DOG FAMILY)
No domestic dog ( whether it's the Irish wolfhound/deerhound, Old english mastiff or great dane) is larger than the Largest timber wolf. This wolf is 7'11 tall on its hind legs and 8'9 from nose to tail also 43.5 inches at the shoulder, no dog has ever been recored that large.
THE LARGEST FELINE (CAT FAMILY)
The Barbary Lion was amongst the largest of all recorded lion subspecies in history. It is thought to have weighed nearly five hundred and fifty pounds on average for adult males. Females were around three hundred and fifty pounds in weight. The body length was believed to be as much as eleven feet.
THE LARGEST BIRD
The Ostrich stands can grow to stand 9 feet tall, weighing in at 345 pounds.
THE LARGEST BUTTERFLY
The Queen Alexander Birdwing has a wingspan of up to 23 cms.
THE LONGEST SNAKE
(Python reticulatus). Retics come southeast Asia and are the world's longest snake reaching lengths longer than 20 feet.
THE LARGEST& HEAVIEST SNAKE
The largest snake in the world, by weight atleast, is the Anaconda, or Eunectes murinus, of South America. Green Anacondas, also known as water boas, are considered to be the heaviest. The biggest snakes of these species can grow to be up to 35 feet long and can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Their camoflage coloring makes them very difficult to spot in their natural habitat and snakes this large are very rarely seen but claims of snakes 60 to 150 feet have been made.
THE LARGEST AMPHIBIAN
The world's largest amphibian is the giant salamander. It can grow up to 5 ft. in length.
THE LARGEST BEETLE
This scarab beetle is noted as the World's largest beetle due to overall size. They grow to 11 cms in length.
THE LARGEST REPTILE
The Saltwater Crocodile can grow to lengths of 7 metres.
