DOG VS CAT

DOG  VS  CAT
I am often asked whether I’m a “dog person” or a “cat person,” and as a veterinarian, though I say I haven’t any preference, I don’t see that cats and dogs as being the same.
They behave very differently from each other. The cats have a tendency to hide their illness is one reason why they don’t come to the vet as often as dogs.
Dogs and cats have become so much a part of our domestic life that we sometimes forget how much of their genes they share with their wild ancestors. Cats—like their big relatives, lions and tigers—are among the most effective hunters on the planet. One reason is that for cats, hunting was always a matter of life and death because they need meat to survive. Dogs, on the other hand, evolved to be able to supplement meat with plant matter when they couldn’t find prey.
DOGS:
All dogs are direct descendants of wolves. Even though all these dogs vary greatly in appearance by breed, they are identical in anatomy. They have 321 bones and 42 permanent teeth. But unfortunately man made breed mutation changed their physiology and certain breeds are sensitive to certain drugs.
Dogs have fought in men’s wars. In Roman times, Mastiffs donned light armour and were sent after mounted knights. The Russians trained dogs during WWII to run suicide missions with mines strapped to their backs.

Dog’s nose prints are as unique as a human’s fingerprints and can be used to accurately identify them.
A dog’s smell is more than 100,000 times stronger than that of a human’s, which they need because their eyesight is not as keen as a human’s.
The dog must be the first to know If the master succumbed to have cancer, diabetes, or epilepsy. Studies have shown that dogs can be trained to sniff out cancers of the lung, breast, skin, bladder and prostate. Canines are picking up on extraordinarily faint scents given off by the abnormal cells through their extra ordinary sniffing cells called turbinate bone.
CATS:
In a lifetime, the average house cat spends approximately 10,950 hours purring. She purrs at the same frequency as a diesel engine, that is 26 purrs per second.
Cats front paw has five toes and her back paw has four toes – unless she’s polydactyl, meaning she has extras toes. Cats ‘paw’ or ‘knead’ (repeatedly treading on a spot – sometimes its owner) to mark their territory. Since they sweat through their paws, they’re rubbing their scent onto you.
Cats can make over 100 vocal sounds, while dogs can only make 10. Plus, a cat has 32 muscles in each ear, with which she can hear ultrasonic sounds.
Cat urine glows in the dark when a black light shines on it.
During her productive life, one female cat could have more than 100 kittens. A single pair of cats and their kittens can produce as many as 420,000 kittens in just 7 years.

I would say that no other animal can express love to human the way dog does.
When you leave them, the dog comes back home just he needs & loves you; the cat gets back as he feels that the home is more secured & a safe shelter.
Then what would  be your's  -  Dog or Cat?
They are the two animals who have shared our homes for the longest time -that’s your personal choice !

JUST ENJOY THE JOKE!
